Welcome to the Innovation House family, Freyr!
Hi! I´m Freyr Magnússon, a video game developer with 14 years of experience working on EVE Online at CCP as a software engineer. I studied computer science at Reykjavik University and before that I got certified as an electronics technician and worked as such for 4 years at an engineering firm. Now I am heading into my own adventures as an independent games developer, working on my own video game projects.
Other interests include sci-fi, AI, robots, electronic music, off road bikes, miniature painting and tabletop wargaming. I’m really excited to join this startup community and begin working on new and interesting things.

Welcome to Innovation House, team Medagogic!
Medagogic is a newly founded medTech software company focused on creating computer simulated training environments for healthcare professionals. The company recently received a Rannís grant to develop a product for pediatric emergency care training in collaboration with hospitals in Sweden.
The founding team consists of two software industry veterans in David Gundry and Birgir Már Þorgeirsson in Iceland and a practicing pediatric resident Sigríður Ásta Þorgeirsdóttir in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Youlearn is a e-learning system for music teachers and students who like using YouTube material as a teaching/learning tool
The work on Youlearn started at the beginning of the covid crisis and has sparked much interest with the Icelandic music schoolsThe web application is hosted at www.youlearn.is and is being tested and developed in collaboration with the FÍH School of music (Tónlistarskóli FÍH). The Youlearn team has two members – Andri Ívarsson and Unnur Sól Ingimarsdóttir.

NUTS
Congratulation Torfi and Joon!
Torfi and Joon just launched their game NUTS on Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch and Steam! The game was in development for 2 years, and in just a few days it got over 100 Very Positive reviews on Steam from players.
NUTS is an adventure in squirrel surveillance, a single player game where you spy on squirrels to find out what they are up to, using some old clunky experiment, and fax the results to your boss who you talk to over the phone. Welcome to the Innovation House Family, Arnaldur and Arnar!
Arnaldur is a designer and Arnar is an engineer. They had been developing Nytja as a side project until they received a grant from Tækniþróunarsjóður (Technology development fund) this summer, which gave them the push to pursue it full time. Nytja is a startup that aims to abolish food waste in the restaurant and retail food industry. The goal is to create a marketplace for food otherwise discarded.
