The W3C TAG (Technical Architecture Group) is in charge of coordinating cross-technology architecture and the principles of web architecture at the World Wide Web Consortium – in other words, it’s kind of a technical steering group for web standards.
The group had a great developer meet-up on the evening of the 21st of May at Innovation House. Format for the day was an mini-unconference, kicking off at 18:30 with some lightning talks. Lightning speakers:
• Hjalmar Gislason, Founder & CEO, GRID – Spreadsheets are Programs
• Alice Boxhall, Google and W3C TAG – Accessibility Object Model
• Guðmundur Már Gunnarsson, Vivaldi – Lost in navigation
• Árni Hermann, Avo – Human Accessible Developer Tools
Topics discussed in groups after lighting talks (break outs) included Content Editable, spatial navigation, Semantics, webvtt, and scroll snapping.
